We are incredibly excited to add this to our roster of early apparel projects. In this project you'll work with a pattern, which means you'll want to sign up for Pattern 101 prior to taking this class (Pattern 101 is gratis with registration for one of our beginner apparel classes), and then you'll work on details such as top-stitching pockets, curved seams, gathering stitches, bias binding/facing and more. With early testers in our midst at the shop, it’s exciting to see a pattern so well balanced and with many variations and opportunities to put your own spin on it.

This loose shift is both comfortable and elegant, the perfect wardrobe staple. Choose from three different lengths: a cropped top, above-the-knee dress, or calf-length dress with side slits. The top has a plain back, while the dress has added fullness from back gathers. Patch pockets, waist tie, and three quarter length sleeve options are included. Neck is finished with an easy-to-sew facing. If this is one of your first apparel projects, we recommend keeping it simple with the top. Additionally, using muslin for your first project is never a bad idea.
