make*do*mend: Advanced Beginner Apparel Sewing - The Fen Dress, Tuesdays August 15 and 22, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
This product is unavailable
We’ve quickly fallen in love with the Fen, both top or dress. This two-evening session class will focus on the dress version. A great way to get more confident in apparel sewing with fewer fit challenges than other dresses, the Fen helps you learn how to make darts, gather seams, install pockets and more. There are two hem and neckline variations as well as an easier sleeve to set.
We now include this as part of our Learn to Sew Apparel Trilogy.
Experience Level: Advanced Beginner (you’ve sewn quite a few non-apparel projects and one other apparel project, such as the everyday skirt)
- The Fen Pattern by Fancy Tiger Crafts
- Swedish Tracing Paper (you'll already have this from your Pattern 101 session)
- Recommended PREWASHED yardage of preferred fabric plus one yard of muslin for bodice fitting
- Coordinating thread
All class materials available for purchase at Drygoods Design; all class registrants enjoy 15% off class materials.
*While we do our best to meet the needs for fit, we recommend consulting the pattern to ensure your measurements fit within the sizing range. If you haven't taken other apparel classes with us, we highly recommend our Pattern 101 one-hour class to learn to measure, read, trace and cut out the pattern successfully. Taking it will make all classes in apparel easier and more likely you’ll finish in the allotted time with precutting/tracing pattern.
All classes at Drygoods Design require prepayment and registration. In some cases, day-of sign up is available. No refunds are offered for classes. Cancellations received 72 hours before day of class, will be able to redistribute their class fees to another class. Cancellations received less than 72 hours the before day of class or no-shows will forfeit their class fees entirely. We are unable guarantee the same class or session will be available for rescheduling.
****By submitting your order you agree to the above terms and conditions of classes at Drygoods Design.
