make*do*mend: Advanced Beginner Quilting - Flying Geese with Season Evans - Sunday, November 11th 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It's fall and quilting is back on the class roster! We love it when Season comes to teach and can't wait to see how these turn out. Learn how to make the simple and classic flying geese quilt block. This workshop will teach basic techniques to make geese with a quick and streamlined method. We’ll go over basic math for creating various geese sizes, making multiple geese at once, and the ins and outs of piecing your geese together to form crisp points and a striking design. Use this traditional yet versatile quilt block to make pillows, a quilt top, or even a wall hanging.
Experience Level: Advanced Beginner Sewing/Quilting (you're comfortable on the machine, you've made at least a couple of other quilt blocks and are ready to uproar game with angles and points)
- Two contrasting fabrics (half yard for the geese and one yard for the background)
We highly recommend working towards a pillow or wall hanging so that you can focus on the technique and make something smaller with your first try at this gorgeous block!
