make*do*mend: Apparel Upcycling - Be the Designer - Saturday, March 16th, 2 to 6 p.m.
We see it all the time on Pinterest or on TV, where someone takes one thing and makes it another. Now it's your turn! Join us for a fun, creative afternoon where you'll learn ways to handle taking one garment and making it into another! Need ideas? Feel free to contact us and we'll send some. You'll never look at the thrift store or loved ones' closet the same after this class.
Experience Level: Advanced Beginner Sewing/Beginner Apparel Sewing (you've made a few things, possibly taken classes with us and feel comfortable with basic sewing concepts and the machine)
- Your intended piece(s) to upcycle or incorporate into a new garment
- Coordinating thread for topstitching
- Possible fabrics in your stash or purchased to augment your new creation
