make*do*mend: Beginner Apparel Sewing (Smaller Project, Big Skills) - The Geranium Dress - Wednesdays, October 9 + 23, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

$ 110.00

What could be sweeter than the Geranium Dress? This dress is a great way to get more confident with apparel sewing, while sewing for the little ones in your life. The Geranium helps you learn how to gather seams, make buttonholes, install pockets and more. There are two pocket and neckline variations as well as the choice between a cap or flutter sleeve. This two-evening class will focus on the base pattern. (We will not be working from the expansion pack).

Materials Needed:
  • The Geranium Dress pattern by Made By Rae (available in kids sizes 0-5T or 6-12)
  • Swedish Tracing Paper (you'll already have this from your Pattern 101 session)
  • Recommended PREWASHED yardage of preferred fabrics
  • Coordinating thread

All class materials available for purchase at Drygoods Design; all class registrants enjoy 20% off class materials.

Prior to attending class, we recommend knowing the child's measurements, as well as which size they currently wear.

Price: $110 (includes six hours of instruction, use of studio machines and tools)

*If you haven't taken other apparel classes with us, we highly recommend our Pattern 101 class (one-hour) to learn how to measure, read, trace, and cut out the pattern successfully. Taking it will make all classes in apparel easier and more likely you’ll finish in the allotted time with precutting/tracing pattern.
We currently have 1 in stock. With fabrics, this may be approximate. All fabrics are sold by the yard. For less than yard quantities, call us or order the full yardage and make note in the cart of the quantity you want (down to the quarter yard), we'll cut accordingly and refund the difference!
