make*do*mend: Fun New Projects, Improv Quilting - Sunday, February 18th - 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
We've been loving what happens when we work with new student and improvisational quilting and wanted to make it an official class. Join us for an afternoon of taking fabrics that excite you, playing around with layout and just going for it. Depending on how it goes, you'll have a tray liner, a placemat or a pot holder ready to go with you. You'll learn helpful hints in quilting, both in piecing and quilting/quilt sandwich and hopefully have an early start on your handmade holiday projects!
Experience Level: Comfortable machine sewing and have a few recent projects under your belt; no quilting experience needed
- We'll provide the machines and tools as always plus the batting and various scraps
- You bring small cuts of fabric and a half yard of fabric to go on the back and use as binding (you can do this day of unless you have a print you've been dying to use)
Cost: $60 (includes three hours of instruction, machine and tool use, project-based batting and small cuts of fabric)
