make*do*mend: Get Your Warp On Again, Tapestry Weaving 102: Volume and Space, Saturday, June 24th - 2 p.m to 6 p.m.

$ 55.00

You've taken Weaving 101 or similar (you now have a small lap loom) and you're ready for the next take and build your skills.

In this follow-up to our Weaving 101 class, students will expand their knowledge of weaving techniques. We will explore openwork, fringe, knotting and pile weaving to create tapestries with volume, texture, and space.
Materials needed:
-Your frame loom*, prepared with a warp (perle or 5/2 cotton, or equivalent)
-All the tools you normally work with (2-3 tapestry needles, shed sticks, beaters/forks)
-3-4 materials to use as weft, ranging in weight, with at least one mid weight yarn and one bulky yarn (fiber packs available in the shop)
-At least one example of a tapestry you have finished/started
*If you are planning to use a different loom from the ones we built in Get Your Warp On, please email us a picture of it at the time of your registration.
