make*do*mend: Get Your Warp On - Weaving 101 (Three Part Series), Thursdays 6/6, 6/13 + 6/20 - 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Our weaving series will introduce you to a variety of weaving techniques, allowing you to play with texture, color and volume. During this three-part class, you’ll make your own lap loom and work on a small tapestry (possibly two) to love. Led by our resident weaving instructor, you’ll get comfortable with the basics of weaving, get the chance to experiment and adapt, and be ready to launch into bigger themes on your own.
Experience Level: All levels welcome
Materials Needed: All materials provided by Drygoods Design - if you have some yarn or other fibers you’d love to use, bring them!
Cost: $120 includes 7.5 hours of instruction and all materials needed including your own adapted lap loom and a couple of the essential items to keep going at home and work in between class sessions.
All classes at Drygoods Design require prepayment and registration. In some cases, day-of sign up is available. Classes are non-refundable. Cancellations received 72 hours before the day of the class, will be able to redistribute their class fees to another class. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before the day of class or no-shows will forfeit their class fees. We are unable to guarantee the same class or session will be available for rescheduling. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may be considered a no-show and forfeit their fees and chance of reschedule.
