make*do*mend: Up Your Knit Apparel Game - The Ruska Dress - Wednesdays, 5/13 + 5/20, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
If you haven't had the chance to check out the book Breaking the Pattern, from the ladies at Named Patterns, now is the time! We're excited to bring you this class where you can get all the construction details to make one of the many versions of the Ruska. Our favorite is with the knot front but yours could be the longer one. That's the bonus and it mirrors many details that it takes to make tee shirts.
You'll want to select a little heavier knit, nothing too slippery or thin - Ponte and French terry both work well.
Experience Level: Intermediate Apparel Sewing - you've completed quite a few woven-fabric garments and possibly a beginner knit garment project, and are ready to branch out into knits with more structural and technical details.
- The book, Breaking the Pattern
- Recommended PRE-WASHED yardage per your intended size
- Coordinating thread for topstitching
