We've watched our past apparel students make so many variations of this sweet pattern, that we had to add it to our class lineup, and even better, part of our intro to apparel trilogy,  - Dress No. 2 from 100 Acts of Sewing.

In this two-part class, you'll learn how to work with measurements, sleeves, and pockets, among many other tips and tricks. With its no-fuss approach this pattern has plenty of options for customization after you've made it in class.

Experience Level: Advanced Beginner in Sewing/Beginner Apparel (you feel pretty comfortable on the machine, you're getting the ideas and concepts around sewing but haven't done much or anything with apparel yet. As always, ask us and we'll help you make an informed choice on your readiness)

Materials Needed:

  • The Dress No. 2 Pattern from 100 Acts of Sewing
  • Tracing Paper
  • PREWASHED recommended yardage per the pattern for your chosen version. Lightweight cotton, wovens, mid weights, etc. all work for this one.
  • Please consult with us on the need for muslin before going big on your dream fabric
  • Matching thread for topstitching if the studio grays, whites and black don't work with your fabric
  • *all materials available for purchase at Drygoods Design, including a 20% discount with proof of class registration

*While we do our best to meet the needs for fit, we recommend consulting the pattern to ensure your measurements fit within the sizing range. We highly recommend our Pattern 101 (included as part of the Learn to Sew Apparel trilogy, separate from this class) one-hour class to learn to measure, read, trace and cut out the pattern successfully. Taking it will make all classes in apparel easier and more likely you’ll finish in the allotted time with precutting/tracing pattern.
